Jack and I worked very hard to complete 66 oil painted sketch cards within 9 days to meet an extended deadline for the sketch cards for this set.  I really didn't want to paint the cards using the artistic style from the movie which was kind of 3d-ish.  I found out last minute that we could do realistic  work and didn't have to use the style the movie is animated with.  I designed our cards to combine many elements of the animation to mesh with the live action Clone Wars movie (Episode 2), and it is our most creative and interesting mini masterworks to date in my opinion. For some of the longshots or landscape cards we did, I came up with completely new poses for our characters and tried to add as much as I could to make them dynamic and interesting to look at. 

We spent 14-16 hours a day over 9 days to do all 106 cards.   Jack and I did 66 cards together like the Clone Wars animators did for the sketch cards and I did 40 solo portrait sketch cards with space backgrounds below, Jack also helped me finish 10 of these cards of Padme at the last minute (or last few hours) so I could get this in the mail back to Topps on time.   We hope you like our version of the Clone Wars!
